ABOUT US
Our Story
TradeSmart Consult Ltd (TSCL) is a continental international trade solutions company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We opened our doors in 2020, and today, we continue to help businesses and organizations understand trade complexities.
Over the years, and with a mission to accelerate intra-African trade through innovative trade solutions, we’ve implemented many initiatives. These initiatives have directly contributed to reducing the trade knowledge gap among women and the youth.
And as an example, these initiatives have led to the documentation and sharing of trade success stories in women-led and youth-led SMEs. They have also allowed us to simplify complex trade information to make it easier to understand, as well as organize trade workshops for women and youth in marginalized areas.

Why we do it
According to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), there’s potential to lift 30 million Africans out of extreme poverty. There’s also the potential to boost the income of 68 million others living on less than $5.50 (Ksh 650) per day.
But for this to happen, policy reforms and trade facilitation measures are needed. And the youth, women, SMEs, and MSMEs who trade in this African region need to understand the ins and outs of these trade measures and policies.

And that’s where TradeSmart Consult comes in
As a trade solutions company, we understand the knowledge gap that exists among businesses and organizations when it comes to trade. We also know the complexity of trade policies, trade facilitation, tariff barriers, customs, and other trading nitty-gritty.
And we want to help you make sense of these complexities so you can trade with confidence and succeed in your business. Not only when it comes to AfCFTA matters but also in every other area of your business.
That’s why we do what we do.
We help to reduce the trade knowledge gap among MSMEs, women, and the youth, to increase intra-African trade, contribute to youth and women empowerment, and lower the continent’s poverty levels.
And as you may already know, these businesses make up at least 70% of Africa’s economy.
