Background

Edrine is an Economist and International Trade Policy and Law Specialist with expertise in Development Econometrics and Modelling, Economic and Regional Analysis, Mathematical Programming for Development and Trade Policy Analysis with strong consulting knowledge on the operations of the World Trade Organization, World Customs Organisation and all the Trade laws and Investment analysis gained through the 12 years experience in Fiscal Management and International Public Policy in Developing Economies. His experience has spanned both government (Public) and private sectors.

He has a wider professional experience in designing trade policies, public debt management, Actions Against poverty strategies, gender economic analysis, international customs and trade facilitation, food security, regional economic integration, Taxation and investment economics as well as green economic analysis. Previously Edrine has served as a supervisor of project management, Supervisor of Research, and Tax policy analysis and has successfully guided the service enhancement capabilities of the Uganda Revenue Authority through the development of initiatives that could improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Tax policy initiatives. He has provided Technical Assitance to the countries under the Southern African Technical Assistance program for IMF, and supported AFRODAD, ATAF, ATRN, USAID, EAC, EABC, World Bank and Leading Boards Africa, as a senior consultant. He has had his doctoral fellowship from the University of Ottawa and has previously taught at Uganda Christian University, Makerere University Business School, Kampala University among other institutions as a visiting lecturer

Edrine Holds a Master of Science in International Trade Policy and Law, A master of Economic Policy Management, an MBA (Strategy and Finance), an executive Master in International Trade Policy and Law, an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in International Trade facilitation, Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade Law and Trade Policy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Program and Project Management and a Bachelor of Science in Economics.  Edrine is a fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management (FAAFM) and professionally, a Charted Economist (Ch. E), an Agile Project Management Professional (PMP) and an ITIL- IT service Management Professional. Edrine has been a key Consultant on Trade, Development, Investment, Poverty Debt Management, Taxation and Strategy for the past 10 years.
